Two Kia models made the list of Top Safety Picks issued by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety: The Kia Soul and Kia Sedona. Also, not one of the Kia models made the Top 100 Most Commonly Stolen Vehicles list issued by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. However, a few Kia models did not do well on rear crash tests. The Kia Rio, Kia Optima, Kia Sorento and Kia Sportage all received a poor rating on rear crash protection. The Kia Amanti only received a "marginal " score.
