Mazda Auto Insurance

Mazda was a machine parts manufacturer in the 1920s, before the company built weapons during World War II. Mazda subsequently became an auto builder after a post-war restructuring and rolled its first car off the assembly line in 1960. Ford Motor Company held a controlling interest in Mazda from the 1970s until 2008. Mazda builds cars, trucks and SUVs – with popular models that include the Mazda B series and the Mazda Tribute. Whatever model you have in your garage, chances are you can find affordable auto insurance coverage.

Mazda safety considerations

Overall, Mazda models scored poorly or marginally on rear crash tests. Only the Mazda 3 2010 model, the older 2004-2005 Mazda B series and Tribute models received good ratings. Mazda models did much better on front and side impact crash tests, receiving an adequate or higher rating across the board.

Most Mazda models, however, have low theft risks. Two Mazda models made the National Insurance Crime Bureau's Top 100 Most Commonly Stolen Vehicles list: the Mazda Protégé and the Mazda 626. Also, two Mazda models made the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Picks: the Mazda Tribute and the Mazda 3.
